"Ax-wielding university lecturer...". That sentence right there is so incongruent with what would usually be used to described a university faculty member as to be almost unbelievable. So I'm guessing that just before he takes out a group of Daesh, he gives them a lecture on...history?

Met plenty of well educated, sociable, educators in Iraq who wouldn't hesitate to pick up a rifle, axe, sword, hammer, or any other possible weapon when certain tenants they value are threatened.
