Chuck, you need to get out there and get that for yourself. We can't help in that department.

Here is teaser quote
Article's first paragraph
Perhaps less butthurt
Editor’s Note: In the 1950s, Robert Putnam’s father was a small businessman in Port Clinton, Ohio, where Putnam grew up. The Harvard professor, of “Bowling Alone” fame, estimates that 40 percent of his classmates’ parents did not finish high school. So already, his father was a step above. But his peers weren’t doomed to their parents’ fate. Apart from the racism and homophobia that was all too common in the 1950s, the American Dream “sort of existed” in Port Clinton, Putnam argues in his new book, “Our Kids.” Eighty percent of his classmates, he says, exceeded their parents’ level of education, with about 50 percent of them graduating college.

Education...you mean crap like this?
Arabic version of Pledge of Allegiance at Pine Bush High School ignites furor
http://www.recordonline.com/article/201 ... /150319327Or this.
[quoteWhile the students claim that choosing the “Communism” theme was a way of honoring their education and showing off their open-mindedness, KRQE reported that Cottonwood's Executive Director, Sam Obenshain, confessed when it was first selected that “he and many students aren’t even quite sure what Prommunism is supposed to look like.”
He was clear, however, that he wanted to be sure kids understood that “the idea of Communism can generate negative reaction,” which is a little like saying the idea of Nazism can generate diarrhea. After switching themes, one student leader confidently told KRQE that he’d learned “there are a lot of negative connotations to the word“ and that students “needed to choose something less sensitive.”

The pledge of allegiance. You mean the artificial attempt at programming patriotism into children that was written by an avowed socialist in the late 19th century and might have also been used as a flag selling scheme?
Seriously, if you need to have the flag of your country essentially turned into an idol you pledge loyalty too, something is wrong with your patriotism.
