Looking for Private Property to Shoot on

My wife and I are looking to buy our first house and on my shortlist of desires is enough property to shoot at least pistols. I am just starting my research and figured I would see if anyone on here has done any research themselves or otherwise has knowledge. We are looking in the North King County area. Does anyone have any recommendations for minimum lot size or distance to neighbors? I found some info a while ago that dealt with county laws for distance allowed to property lines and stuff, i'll be looking into that again. Any other recommendations or things to keep in mind?

Usually want outside city limits
Could probably do with less than an acre especially on sloped property or be willing to build quite a berm system. Five acres or so seems to work pretty good to get more than pistol distances out of the property
Could always bury a shipping container for a very nice, quiet (neighbor friendly) underground range and bunker if needed. Obviously drainage and ventilation will add to the bill on this one
Ive seen very small footprints for pistol bays built with ecology blocks, also seen some smaller tire and earth bays but im not so sure thats the most solid idea as things can and do bounce off of hard rubber surfaces

Most counties have a 5 acre requirement for recreational shooting. Easiest thing is to look into the prospect counties zoning.
