This reminds me of when we were shooting crossbows at SHOT Day at the Range and some idiots testing mountain bikes went down range of us. Epically stupid.

Wow.. That right there would seriously affect my ability to start shooting on a busy range like that. I'd have paranoia OCD "Did we turn off the oven honey?" moments for a long time.
Seeing it on the computer screen gave me an adrenalin/anxiety burst. Jesus.

Well, if he was picking up brass then I can understand ... color me neurotic. Looks like he was taping up targets. Usually 5+ people walk down range to tape targets up after each shooter. It's tje RO's responsibility to make sure and double make sure that range is clear before even letting the next shooter to make ready.

Jeez! That made me feel a little ill. Even if I was the shooter I would have felt dread, I can only imagine the worker down range.

It hadn't even occurred to me to imagine the downranger. The worker downrange must be a terrific moron, or at least experienced a moronic lapse of judgement. I'm not judging him- I've had some real doozies when it comes to Moronish Behavior Attacks. The next time I'm asked if I have an MBA I should reply "Several." I speak hastily... But how would you not realize that the range you are on just started having loud bang bang noises? The berms cause a distinctly different sound when the bang bangs come from the next lane, or so it seems to my sensitive ears. Maybe he had really good hearing protection? The brass theory... hahaha Ok, now I understand. Theories aside, I'd love to read an explanation from the downranger and the RSO to help understand how it could happen, to help make the rest of us aware and better at keeping our red stuff inside.
