I like having more daylight in the summer, but i'm not sure daylight savings has much benefit to our society.

How will the cows know when they are going to be milked?

How do you know it is bedtime at the Neverland ranch?

when the big hand touches the little hand.

I suspect the cows will know when a cold hand touches their udder.

The relevance of the concept behind "daylight savings" has been lost to the modern world.

...proving again that DST is udderly useless!

I agree to a point. Problem is, when the sun already comes up at 5 in the morning in the summer, do we really want it up at 4? Likewise in the winter, if we stuck to DST all year (which I have often advocated), it will be dark until mid-late morning in the peak of winter. So which is better or worse?

I'd rather have my daylight be later in the day.

I've been to Anchorage in October where the sun didn't come up until 9 or 10 and went down at 3 or so. Given the choice between the two, I'd probably stick to ST vs DST.

This will hurt rec/sports orgs. In an organization I am familiar with, ending DLST would add an estimated 15k to the budget to account for additional field lighting that would be required.
