Funny you brought that up as I was at work today I was constantly thinking about that if I move the wrong way or if an object hits it........Its toast.
But I have faith in Apple and from what I have read the "Bend-gate Scandal" was a farce.

Meh. Anything bigger than a 5 won't fit in my hickory pocket with a case on it.

Pretty much.
I waffled back and forth between the 6 and the 6 Plus, and finally went with the Plus. There are clearly both pros and cons, but I've decided that I made the right choice.
With my old phone (an iPhone 5), I did a lot of one-handed typing. As zombie66 said, this just doesn't happy with the 6 Plus; it's simply too big. At first that irritated me, but now it doesn't bother me too much; turns out that I don't actually NEED to write text messages while I pee. Who knew?!
I had a good-sized case on it at first. I finally swapped that out for the Magpul case, which is smaller and fairly smooth, and the phone now fits just fine in any of my pockets. Yeah, sometimes you can see a rectangle in my pocket, but no big deal.
I carry it in my front pocket . . . no bending yet.

Just like trying to put anything bigger than normal in your "pocket." You'll pucker up a little at first, but it'll be the new normal in no time.
