A salt Lake City man holds a man at gunpoint... and....

No one is charged....

http://www.ksl.com/index.php?nid=1070&sid=33951655

Guy #1 sees Guy #2 pull out a knife, and demand a bike from guy #3...

Good shoot, right?

Well, Guy #3 STOLE the bike from Guy #2, and was getting it back...

It's all in the details... F me.

The video seems legit

Pretty sure you can't get your bike back using the threat of lethal force .

The security officer acted appropriately also.....

have to agree with the summary. What you think is going on, is not actually what went on.

Situations like this run through my head often when I think of my own shoot/no-shoot situations.

Ditto.

You think you're doing the right thing, and then.....

You come across a man that has a knife and is yelling at the guy 'GIVE ME THE FUCKING BIKE'....

You draw, tell him to drop the knife...

He tells you to fuck off, and proceeds to move closer towards the guy on/with the bike....

You drop the knife holder....

Then find out that the guy ON the bike just tried to rob him of it, and the guy with the knife was defending himself.

:whatthe:

Reminds me of Crimson Tide... You can be 110% right in your actions, but still all so wrong.....

They're working for me. I'm not sure which one you're referring to, though.

If the guy holding the knife was going to kill him, even though the "victim" is a dirtbag, still makes more sense to prevent someone killing someone else.

But, yet another reason to keep your gun holstered .... because who the eff knows what is going on.
