You're most likely to stick with it if it's fun . . . .

If you have a backyard, go with the perennial favorite - a Jungle Gym!

Add a backpack of 10 to 90 pounds but remember to slowly increase your weight and the difficulty of the trails over time.

YMCA is a socialist organization, they base your costs on how much you make, and give free memberships to people on welfare........I just could not support that kind of pricing structure

I'm not sure what YMCA you go to but ours did not ask for any income info to determine membership price. There are fixed rates for individuals and families, and being a non profit org they allow those who cannot afford that rate to apply for a lower rate where you would need to provide income info. Yes I understand that means my membership dues are still helping cover the costs of others, but it's still less expensive for a family of 6 than anywhere else near us. Plus they have an indoor playground for the little ones, summer camps, swim lessons, etc. that we get a discounted rate on for being members.

There may also be a different rate for senior citizens but I'm not 100% sure about that.

Righttttttt........

It's kinda funny when joined last week they never asked what I make. But what they do have is a max of what you have to pay which is $130. 2 adults and 2 kids is $122, so it really makes it easy for large family's to do activities. Then they have a discounted option for low income people or family's.

Some of the paper work says something about Christian values too, not that I care.

Yup totally socialist.

Get a planet fitness membership for cardio machines and slowly build a home gym or at least a power tower. All I need is a pull up bar to get most of everything I need.

perhaps they changed their policy, we were members several years ago and on the application you had to fill in your income bracket, we were in the top bracket which means we paid $87/month for the membership, I talked to one person there who was on State disability and they paid nothing for their membership

ah. I want to apologize for sounding like a dick, I'm coming down from 4 straight days of heavy drinking and not having a good time adjusting.
