Too many hobbies. Things that go bang is just one.

I've tried calling it my hobby, wife doesn't agree. It's an addiction for me. Has been since I was a lil kid. Luckily my youngest son has the same affliction.

Oh, and there's this one website that eats up about six hours a day. That doesn't leave a lot of time for anything else. Is this heaven? Or am I in need of a massive realignment of my priorities? I know what my girlfriend would say . . . .

Shooting is just a small part of the hobby for me. Most of my enjoyment comes from fixing, repairing and building firearms. I would say 99% of the guns I have bought have been broken or in need of some major TLC. I am proud to say I have only bought one brand new gun in my life.

I love the shooting part . I put 3 to 5 K rounds down range a year. But my most enjoyable part is collecting . I really enjoy the craftsmanship of well built fire arms .

I'm a 70%er. I shoot at least once a week, normally twice then I have to process the brass and reload it which takes 4 times as long as shooting it. When dry I ride my motorcycle to the range but on occasion I have been known to take my classic car there instead. Hobbies: 1) wife - my momma didn't raise no fool (she reads this occasionally) 2) Guns - I felt naked in California last week 3) Traveling - preferably a motorcycle is involved 4) Motorcycle & Classic Car are tied for 4th

I'd call it a minor-ish hobby. I like possessing guns and wish I had the means to own more. While I truly enjoy target shooting with them, even cleaning them, I'm more interested in simply having them. My wife cannot understand this, but indulges it.
I also do woodworking and have a significant amount of tools in my shop.
Finally I sail. By far the most expensive hobby. Simply keeping my boat in a marina costs me a couple grand a year, plus it cost $5k just to get into the marina.

I call it a profession... Quit my day job and I am writing and producing videos full time now. I shoot about once a week and spend quite a few hours in he lab editing video. Probably shoot 3-4k round a month.
Was going to get into shooting some PRC matches this year, but not looking like that is going to happen.

I'm more of a firearms enthusiast than a shooter, but only because I have neither the time nor the proper location to do the kind of shooting I'd like to. Firearms are definitely my primary hobby, and the amount of time I spend on gun-related activities dwarfs just about everything else, including sleeping. I'm hooked.

Fortunate for him... he has others to shoot.
I hate when things don't work. I remember shooting someone's $2500 AR (and that's not with optics)... tried to put a steel cased round and it basically wouldn't even feed halfway.
He didn't like me much but it shows how tight his chamber was.

I also enjoy photography and travel. Now that things are more or less organized after our move here about a year ago, I hope to get more shooting done. The wife and I spend a lot of time exploring the local area. We like to ride bikes when the weather is nice and have ridden on the Burke-Gilman trail between Bothell-Kenmore-Redmond a few times. That is a really great place to ride bikes. Good exercise too.

Between gaming, shooting and family.... well I'm starting to wonder how to shave time off work. If only I could combine those things but sadly a four year old is a bit young and the wife doesn't much like hitting the range.
