When I was connected to the third customer service rep that morning, I got one with an accent so thick I could only understand about every fifth word.

Out of general frustration with the automated runaround and now with this individual, I interrupted whatever she was saying with, "Excuse me. I pressed one for English."

Apparently, that's how you get connected to a supervisor, because that's who came on the line next.

Just thought I'd share in case anyone else finds a need to use my line (copyright pending).

Man, I've wanted to do that for so long! But just don't think the amplitude would be that effective on the other end.

I think its going to be funny as shit when the East Indian with the thick accent calls again about the Microsoft issues I supposedly have with my computer and I start with your line....... .

He called me an asshole last time when I called him a liar...he said his name was Brian.

I said..... "East Indian parents don't call their kids Brian."

So I called him a liar and said..... "Why are you lying to me? Lying is no way to start an adult conversation."

Then he called me an asshole. Nice.

I said........ "Then let this asshole talk to your supervisor."

He hung up.

I'm the liar when I talk to those folks, and it's been at least a dozen times. I swear up and down that we have no computer, so we can't be having any trouble with it.

I think my 'press one' line only works when you've made the call to a company, but ICBW.

Either way, just remember our motto: We're retired, so we have all day to waste your time.
