That's funny, I don't recall reading any passages in the Constitution which guarantee my right to have a sex change and bill the taxpayers for it while I'm serving time for second-degree murder. Maybe I just missed it.

That's absurd. Certainly there is a right to basic medical care when in custody, but I doubt she could have afforded sex change surgery on the outside, nor is it critical to survival.

Maybe he didn't like it up his ass and decided that installing a cooter would be better.

I read about this online, and I do not understand how this is can be ordered by a judge, and how it is medical necessity.
On a separate note, I did read a totally different story on another site about a transgender person who needed a vagina and it is only $20,000. for a brand spanking new vagina, he/she set up a gofundme account because the insurance only covered 12k or the 20k. Why can't this person not just do the same instead of making the humble tax payers of California pay for the surgery.
