Communist Chinese bluster is pretty good bluster. It's pretty effective. Vietnam is communist, but it's never taken it's marching orders from China. The Chinese aim to change that and gain strategic control over that region as well.

No, he doesn't like to argue. To do that requires an argument. He prefers to simply harass you until you go away. He uses various tactics to do this such as:

1. Outright dismissal without counterpoint.
2. Endless demands for links, quotes, citations, which he then casually dismisses.
3. Deflection.
4. Confirmation bias.
5. Backhanded insult. Sometimes fore-handed.

You see, he is most simple minded in his methodology, as he is lazy and doesn't wish to work very hard. therefore he resorts to the internet equivalent of sticking his fingers in his ears and yelling 'NAH NAH NAH I CAN"T HEAR YOU!'.
