How do we know the so-called "patriots" had it removed? Maybe they were just there to film it.

It is customary to do this kind of thing for visiting officials. Imagine it was the Australian flag, or the Canadian flag.... we should give them the same respect they give us when we visit.

While I think displaying flags from other countries is stupid, I think this one is a major over reaction.

Because it doesn't matter why. A commie is a commie, not worthy of honor, nor worth the flying of a world wide symbol of oppression, the hammer and sickle, over the capitol of a state populated by a (increasingly marginally) free people.

Displaying the flag of the ambassador of a visiting nation is pretty much standard protocol. Other than the goof of improperly flying it, and the chance to whip up the FoxNooz crowd, this is pretty much a non issue.

Note the section on flying the flag of visiting foreign guests as a courtesy.

In the real world, nations and vessels fly foreign flags all the time as a courtesy to visitors or when visiting. Grow up. It's an age old tradition and practice and considered a basic courtesy. Basically it's acknowledging that an important or valued visitor of distinction is now visiting as a guest.

I don't care what is considered protocol. I could care less about courtesy. Communism has enslaved and murdered billions.
