Someone banging on my door before 7AM this morning...

Picture this....bang bang bang on the door.
Me jumping out of bed and trying to shove two pistols in my underwear and grabbing a 12 gauge.
oh shit, its the cops!
...and me dumping said hardware before opening door.

I always carry my G17L AIWB when in my skivvies at home, 'cuz it does what your two will do and then some.

OFFICER: Is that a 9 inch Glock in your tighty whities?
ME: Ma'am, shouldn't your eyes be up here? Stop staring at my clips!

Serious question though, how did you know it was the Police or did you before you opened the door?

I have a decorative glass pane on my front door....it distorts things a bit, but it was pretty clear who was there.

Very nice of the officer to bring the dogs home instead of dumping them at KCAC...pretty sure that they can accept gifts under $50 in monetary worth.

When BPD started posting squad cars and motorcycle officers just up 146th Ave SE at SE Allen Rd to catch speeders along SE Allen (which is heavily trafficked by children on their way to bus stops/school in the mornings) I started asking the officers what they would like from Starbucks and then doing a run to get whatever their order was--never had any objections.

Not even my dogs and I feel grateful this morning.

I don't know if it could be said without making you look like a geek, but would be cool to tell him that his actions were appreciated by a bunch of people.
