Cost of PMags...

Tue Apr 07, 2015 2:33 pm

I have been out of the buying more Pmags for some time... now.

But I happen to stop by several shops up North for the North End Group Shoot and Clean up viewtopic.php?f=60&t=52024

MadPick and I stopped at Skagit Arms in Burlington http://skagitarms.com/ and Skagit Shooting Range http://www.skagitshootingrange.com and Cabela's http://www.cabelas.com

Just seeing what was in stock and to see if anything caught our eye.

One thing that did catch my eye... was the prices on Pmags and such...
Seems like prices are going back up?

Sidenote:
Skagit Arms has a ton of inventory! Of almost everything... guns, ammo, guns, ammo and more stuff than I could look at...
Skagit Shooting Range - Nice indoor shooting range :thumbsup2:

Not up from when I started looking a couple years ago and they were $35-$50 if you could find them at all.

$11-13 is what I am seeing them at, when I walk by them. Not really looking for more at the moment so have not been seriously shopping.

So when I bought my Pmags for 75$ each back in December of 2012 that was NOT a good price?

I got some for $10 a pop at a gun show not to long ago.

Isn't magpul moving? If so I imagine there will be a panic buy over them.

I wish their ak mags where cheaper though

I got some six months ago for about 8.50 each. Keep your eyes peeled for online buys.

Okay... a benchmark..

Pre - Sandy Hook (12/2012) Pmags were about $12-$16

Then Sandy Hook - $50-$90 per mag... icon_eek

Then Magpul moves out of Colorado in 2013-2014... then you could buy Pmags for $80-$90 per 10 packs...

Is there a new version?
I doubt that's it... since they were all a few bucks more than I figured (new and older variants).

Now...
Magpul Gen3 are about $14-$17

I have a ton of mags. So I'll only buy more Pmags if I find them at the <$9 or less mark.

Prices are decent right now, but I've seen them lower.

This one is a little expensive.

The Gen2's can be had for $6-7 each (delivered) on Gunbroker if you have the patience to search, watch, bid, and wait. Otherwise $8-10 is good. And honestly, the Gen2's are every bit as good, if not better, than the Gen3's. No need to pay more for the newer model.

My gen 2 average price has been $7.21. I think I am coming up on 34 at this point. Which means I am short 11 from my goal.
