No but I can drill a small hole with a diamond bit and feed the wire through. Have you had any rust issues since you started using the goldenrod?

I have on in my big safe and one in my pistol box. I don't really have any wood to worry about. Had my 1911 with only a pistol lock for 10 years in this state, and it did just fine.
I plug them in about once a month to "recharge"

Almost the same thing I use. Except mine is branded by liberty and a little different looking. I've had it in my safe for a couple months and it's only started getting close to dry time. So our humidity really isn't a problem. It's more of a feel good measure.

What are examples of "safe entry techniques?" I'm not lucky enough to be able to walk into and enter my safe. Although I did think of installing a safe door into my closet.
On a side note 'lubrication and safe entry techniques,' does that come with a safe word?

What is VCI?
VCI is an abbreviation for Vapor Corrosion Inhibitor. (Also known as VpCIs or Vapor Phase Corrosion Inhibitors.) These corrosion inhibiting compounds release molecules into the air. When these compounds come in contact with metal surfaces they form a very thin molecular layer. This thin layer effectively inhibits corrosion on the metal surface by preventing air and moisture from coming in contact with the surface. Unlike other methods of rust prevention, the corrosion inhibiting vapors have the ability to reach into intricate surfaces that would be otherwise hard to reach with traditional rust prevention products.
