Kennewick Police Denounce "Quota" Video

Kennewick police says it has launched an internal investigation after one of its officers was recorded on video in a heated exchange with three people during a traffic stop in late March.

The whole situation is a hot mess but my biggest issues are:

- The open threat of made up charges
- Being angry that he didn't "give permission" for the citizen to record the encounter
- The Kennewick Police Department is supposed to be investigating the February officer-involved shooting in Pasco...this video tells me their house isn't in order either (and raises doubts about that investigation)

Just heard about this today. Thugs like that are an absolute disgrace to the badge. Wishfully hoping he gets fired, but lord knows that won't happen.

By calling the non-LEO a "civilian," I infer that LEOs aren't civilians but rather something like military (I have since corrected the wording in my original post). That of course isn't true and thinking like that is very dangerous...I'd argue it leads to behavior like this actually.

Wow . . . that officer was a total douche, wasn't he?!! That shit pisses me off.

Write a ticket, fine. Give a lecture, no problem. However, that officer was just on a total fucking power trip, and all he accomplished was looking like an asshole, and now there are probably three punks out there that hate the police.

Wow, roughly 75 in sheriff - police protection make over 100k. 3 of the top dogs make almost 150k.
