No the shitbag at the bottom of the pile. They should have shot him.
Wow. I'm guessing you also think this is an acceptable use of force... absolutely unbelievable. And to think you're a sworn officer... thank god you aren't on the streets.
if you look at how far the hell is when it zooms out, it's probably a mile away... although the cops probably knew the helicopter was there, but it wasn't close enough to remind them to behave... and they had their own help in the area so they thought they could write their own report...
gang mentality at it's best... just a salaried and pensioned gang with badges.. .
There comes a point in any career when you have to weight ... how much you like the job and want to go to work... Vs.... How much you hate your job and think everyone is a douchebag that you want to beat the fuck out of, just on principle.
I will say this plain as day...Any one in LEO or security work... If you are in the latter category... Go find a new job. You'll be happier. I did and I hardly ever regret it.
As to this video... That's felony assault... Not a beating. They are armed, and there is little doubt that had he tried to get away or protect himself- these guys would have killed him. It's a badge to enforce the law. Not an 'open season' permit.
Officer #2 kicks the proned out, surrendering subject, dead square in the nuts! Officer #6 or 7 is beating him in the ribs with a rifle! Yes... Officers have a right to use force... But this is CLEARY excessive!
The governmental entities that oversee shit like this need to start drawing the line and punishing these types of actions or they are going to continue... And get worse. An officer gets his Respect from the common man, based on the idea that he will treat the common man firmly, but fairly under the law. Consider the common man's reaction to a stop if he reasonably believes that he might go to the hospital, or be killed by the officer stopping him.
I said elsewhere that I would support shooting a fleeing subject...but that's not the current law. Until that changes (yes I would vote for it)...shit like this is completely, wrong, in it's totality.
Indeed. Some of the guys on all the forums this is posted on hate big .gov, hate the ATF, hate Hitlery, hate the IRS, hate Obama.Jesus, hate Obamacare, hate any authority overreach..........well except a good perp beat down, guilty or not. Frankly it's just not that far from these same clowns laying a scope bead on you when loading your guns in your car, or taking pictures of your guns in a field.........
Anyone that hit him while he was down should be fired and spend some time in jail.No reason for that beat down even if he is a dirt bag.Too many police officers are thinking they are above the law, gives the rest an undeserved bad name
Every one of the police officers involved STOLE this subjects right to due process. Thugs at best, THEIVES by definition. I generally avoid commenting on threads which involve the subject of police brutality, but the statements made here by MashMan, have caused me such disgust, that I cannot refrain. MM is what...a corrections officer? Fucking shame on you. Your statements bely an unsettling attitude, which is at its very core ...anti-social at least. You sir, need to re-evaluate where your attitude is leading.
