I just took this pic about 20 minutes ago, looks like those crane operators have a great view of the sound.

Yeah, that was one hell of a sunset tonight. Had a great view of it from Edmonds.

Why are you afraid of that?

That's pretty cool. Manpads Stinger with an Avenger in the background. I was part of a Stinger unit when I was in the National Guard years ago. Spent a lot of time at Fort Bliss.

I too spent a couple years at Fort Bliss (as a dependant).

I had two fond memories of my time there... Cheeseburgers in the base bowling alley, and leaving...

I'm guessing you've never experienced "physical therapy" massage. If you're having it, it means old Helga isn't worried about making you feel good and relaxed. PT is about healing. It's painful as heck, and i usually come out hurting more than when I came in.

But hey....how often do old farts like us have an opportunity to at least TRY to enjoy a lithe young thing, giving us a rubdown?

The good with the bad, Sir.

Not including AIT I was stationed there three times. Now I'm back at Fort Sill where it all began.

Fort Bliss for basic.
Canteen would freeze at night, sweating your balls off by noon.
They told us what we wore in the morning, we had to wear all day.
After running a couple of miles fully loaded and then jumping in the gas chamber soaked with sweat, I just sucked it up and froze in the morning the rest of the time.
