I usually spend most of these shoots shooting the shit more than shooting anything else. Since I'm not having any luck getting someone bring an xdm competition in 45 acp (even better if converted to .460 Rowland), I bought some 9mm so I can hopefully try yours. I also bought a box of .40, in case anyone ends up bringing one. Of course while I was at it I picked up another box of 45acp (the grandkids really want to shoot Chucks tommy).

I am sure many of you have trade show experience. You know the drill: Get the vendor list in advance, realize you don't have nearly the time necessary to visit every booth, be forced to plot a course through the hall to see only the most important vendors. This shoot-out is shaping up to be just like that.
There are so many goodies to see, I will have to think really hard about attending. My major regret is that I have so little to offer for fondling. I could bring my Pedersen Mark II Springfield 1903, but only USRifle seems to have interest in that. My DW in .357 6", but I would really like to see a DW .44. Does anybody have a Mountain Gun in .45 LC?

Just get the tuchus out there!

For the last couple years I'd thought that, if I'd ever get another pistol, I'd get an FNX45. I shot one of those last year (and I liked it), but after finding out about the .460 Rowland conversion kits, I want to get something I can convert to that within the next year. Last 1911 I shot was as an MP back in 1979 and they were sloppy. A Glock 17 would work too but I've never shot one and was never impressed by them (maybe because I haven't shot one).

Same here chasehooks, but I'm holding out for a P220 stainless elite 460 conversion for mine, an probably buying another elite just so I don't have to keep switching back an forth.

But the Pedersen devices were all confiscated for destruction. I believe that there is one that was retained in a museum. Doubtful, but possible.

OldJim is correct, all of the Pedersen magazines (and special bolts, and the belt) were destroyed. Stupid decision. I just happen to have a Mark II because my grandfather bought it from CMP in the 1930s. My father hacked it in the 1950s and I will restore it, but only after he passes. I can bring it.

If there are any grandfathered full autos out there, I'd really like to try one out.
