I handed mine across the counter yesterday while buying a new toy. It got thrown back as "no good".
Fortunately, I'm within the 90 days. I'm glad I didn't have to tender it to a LEO. I feel naked today.

Thanks for the reminder! I always put a reminder on my cellphone calendar but forgot to when I got the new phone (after all my info got deleted). I've got 6 months (if I go 90 days prior) before I can renew my WA CPL. My OR one is a little weird though. It was issued 4/26/2014, but expires 6/7/2018. Guess they gave me credit for processing and mailing. You can renew your OR CHL up to 6 months prior to expiration but the new expiration date will go off the renewal date, not 4 years off the old expiration date.

Personal weapons are what raised mankind out of the mud, and the rifle is the queen of personal weapons. For this reason it exercises a curious influence over the minds of most men, and in its best examples it constitutes an object of affection unmatched by any other inanimate object.

"OK Google", "Make a reminder for four years and nine months from now", "OK, do you want to save this?" => Change title to "Renew CPL" => Click Save.

I am free because I say I am. My freedom is not dependent on any government benefit or piece of legislation. My rights are inherent in the fact that I was born a sovereign being. They are non-negotiable. The government can list them and protect them, but my rights are not theirs to give away.

Renewed mine recently. Now the question is "Will I last the full 5 years before it expires". I'm getting to that age of" no more than one year subscriptions" but not quite to "don't buy green bananas". I recently bought a new Washer/Dryer (old washer leaked) and the sales person told me that the neat part was that it came with a 10 year Warranty. I smiled and said "that should be more than I need" I can't figure out why our State doesn't just roll the CPL into the Driver's License. Go ahead and let the locals do the paperwork but then just issue a license with a CPL "Endorsement". Then the CPL will have a picture on it too and the same expiration date as your D/L. Merely pro-rate the first one (and fee as well) if the term doesn't coincide with the D/L.

Ours expire in July of this year. Maybe this time they'll send a new CPL that will actually FIT IN MY DAMN WALLET. I mean, is that too much to ask for? Sakes.

Depends on where you live. Some agencies already went with the new smaller form a couple years, some still use the old ones. Depends on how many of the old ones they have left. (Large agencies probably buy them buy the pallet, so could take years).

I used to have a large biker wallet with a chain. Worked great unless you forgot to snap it back up. Otherwise, if dropped, would spin around on the chain sending the contents in 5 foot radius.
