Would that be kind of like running Hillary Clinton in the presidential race...?

I remember standing next to Stephen Carpenter watching him on a B stage while on the Warped Tour in the late 90's. I thought he was a joke and had no idea he'd blow up. He was crafty in switching up his style which gained him a much larger audience. At that time he was still doing mostly rap and it wasn't that good. When he started doing more rock, country, and pop, he got a lot more attention and airplay.

http://www.detroitnews.com/story/entert ... 105493658/The National Action Network, founded by "the Rev." (

) Al Sharpton, has blasted Ritchie’s embrace of the Confederate flag in previous performances, as well as his criticism of former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick for kneeling during the national anthem.
“When you hire Kid Rock, who is known to be dog-whistling and cat-calling to white supremacist organizations and the white supremacist community, alt-right, whatever you want to call them, and you take our tax dollars to do that? That’s wrong,” the Rev. Charles Williams II, president of the National Action Network’s Detroit chapter, said on Facebook last week.

Sounds like libtard race baiting haters. I wouldn't give them a press pass either.
http://www.freep.com/story/news/local/m ... 657462001/"This is a musician who got rich off crass cultural appropriation of black music, who used to wrap his brand in the Confederate flag — a symbol inextricably linked to racism, no matter what its defenders say — and who has repeatedly issued profane denouncements of the very idea of African Americans pushing back against American inequality," Henderson wrote, noting that his argument had nothing to do whether or not Kid Rock's music was "good" but rather the culture he represents — or what people, right or wrong, perceive him to represent.
"You guys wrote a fuckeded up story and allowed it to be published. You want a quote, there it is," Webster (Kid Rock's Publicist) told the Free Press in a phone call this morning.

Al Sharpton was funnier when he was a huge fat slob. Now he's just an ambulance chaser.

I think it has gotten to the point that no matter who runs they are going to screw things up so now the people are voting for entertainment purposes now

I believe you are right. Sad to see our country slip away with both sides putting forth such shit candidates. Seeing Paul Ryan's photo op without a shirt, in his PDX90 days, almost made me hurl.

I saw kid rock at warped tour in Austin Texas in the late 90s before anyone knew who he was. He sucked so bad (still does), his music was shit. The crowd booed him off stage halfway through his second song. I could not believe it when we heard him on the radio a few months later.

Still waiting for Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton to Apologize about Tawana Brawley, but only since 1987, so I can be patient.
