With a bottle of scotch and watch lotsa crotch
Buy a yacht with a flag sayin' "chillin' the most"
Then rock that bitch up and down the coast

Senator Ritchie to you.

Popular musician Kid Rock, real name Robert Ritchie, has been flirting with a Senate run in Michigan and a poll out Friday shows him far ahead in the Republican primary and within the margin of error in the general election.

Ritchie has yet to decide whether to run for office, and released a statement on Wednesday about all the speculation in which he announced he is starting a non-profit group to encourage voter registration.

“One thing is for sure though…The democrats are ‘shattin’ in their pantaloons’ right now…and rightfully so!,” Richie said in the statement. “We will be scheduling a press conference in the next 6 weeks or so to address this issue amongst others, and if I decide to throw my hat in the ring for US Senate, believe me… it’s game on motherfuckers.”

Congressional approval is still down below 15%.
Most Americans are so frustrated they are ready to try ANYTHING new.

Electing our representatives by the state lottery probably couldn't be a whole lot worse.
Well, except half of Congress wouldn't speak English.

Fuck it, I'm down. Politics as normal is a joke, and anybody that wants to shake it up for my side is GTG.

I'd vote for 'em

Having most of the old timers stroke out or have heart attacks would be easier to accomplish than getting term limits passed

Let's see:

self-accomplished multi-millionaire.
check

has been in the public for decades, so we have an idea of what he thinks, does, and who he hangs out with.
check

strong personality that can stand up to hot air like Al Franken or Chuck "salami salesman" Schumer.
check

proud of his home state, being an American, and wants his fellow citizens to have a better lot in life.
check

is active in helping out common folk and his fans in a variety of fundraising activities over the years.
check

has performed many times overseas for US troops in combat zones.
check

his father is a colonel in the US Air Force, so he has been aware of the importance of the military his entire life.
check

more honest with his words than any current Senator in DC
check

Looks like if the Kid runs, I am sending a few bucks his way!

I'll send him money too.
Can you imagine him showing up on the senate floor wearing a full length white mink coat, velvet pimp hat, with a cigar in his mouth???
"I'm gonna rock this, bitches!"
Mass casualty event for the local cardiac wards.

Honestly, he seems more qualified as a senator than The Kenyan or Al Franken were.

We need him in the Senate.

http://www.freep.com/story/news/politic ... 626690001/

The group Common Cause says the Detroit musician violated the law by declaring himself a candidate for a U.S. Senate seat in Michigan but not registering his candidacy or reporting campaign contributions. They filed a complaint with the Federal Election Commission and also asked Attorney General Jeff Sessions to investigate whether the musician —whose real name is Robert Ritchie — has violated election law.

Ritchie dismissed the allegations, issuing the following statement,

"I am starting to see reports from the misinformed press and the fake news on how I am in violation of breaking campaign law.

#1: I have still not officially announced my candidacy.
#2: See #1 and go fuck yourselves."

I came here to post exactly this. Democrats can take a joke like Franken all seriously but claim others not qualified. OK.......................

And if you want to compare even to House repubelicken traitors such as Paul Ryan? That clown should just switch parties.

Once again the goal of upsetting the left trumps choosing qualified candidates. I'm not surprised.
