Yeah I noticed it got colder too. Pretty nifty thing. Wish it happened every day.

I was at work (and watched from a parking lot) but the wife and son went to my dads house and did some experiments.

No, but it's 15 degrees warmer than it was a couple hours ago.

I can't afford a pond here, maybe if I lived in Index I could. :ROFLMAO:

Edit: On an interesting note, there are reports of cows in OR suddenly lying down and going to sleep when the sky turned dark.

You didn't really need anything fancy to get a view of the eclipse. I just used a small piece of cardboard with a small hole in it held over a white piece of cardboard. I noticed when we went inside, the sun shining through holes in the blinds created rows of little crescents on the wall.
I also used a sandwich of welder's glass and a piece of old exposed color slide film to create a filter that I took some pictures through.

Thx. Glad I took them. But I think it was most interesting to just stand outside and marvel out how it was both bright, but dark. With 7x binoculars, 22x spotting scope, I think that the 1x glasses was the best. It's the most "natural" experience. There was already a semblance of "fakeness", so the spotting scope and binoculars almost detracted from the experience.

I'm going to paint a wall sometime this week. You guys want to come over and watch it dry?
