He's like Russell, in that he's positive the next play will work, no matter how ugly the previous one was. Guys like Goff, and sometimes Newton, had/have a nervous energy, that can spiral down after a bad play. Watson will be fun to watch (except when he plays us). Glad I didn't bet the over/under on THIS game

Awesome game. That makes 23 4th qtr. comeback for Russell Wilson. Is that guy good, or what?

Actually, Wilson in some ways is more clutch than Aaron Rodgers. Many of his come-from-behind wins have been against teams with winning records. "Aaron Rodgers: 0-35 when trailing by more than 1 point in 4th quarter against teams with a winning record" http://www.foxsports.com/nfl/story/gree ... tat-012217

Texans offense was on fire today! Really glad for our defense's ability to put points on the board and our offense finally getting the kickstart they needed after the Giants win to put some real numbers on the board. Hell of a game today.

Watson is pretty much another RW who happens to have a better receiver group in his rookie year than Russell had (maybe with Rice and Harvin healthy...).
The goal line play where he slipped out of the sack and completed the TD pass is right from the RW playbook.
I doubt he'll go the RGIII route...he's the real deal for sure.

I think it's funny how people want this team to be a run first team. But look at what Rogers does with no run game. Nothing says we have to be run first. Look at today with how many passing yards Wilson put up with 452.
Great game to watch.

Great game to watch. I don't know that it's so much run first, per se, but with Tom Cable's scheme, zone blocking lends itself to run-first. Part of that, though, is to set-up the play-action pass. Whenever we veer too far from that, our receivers get the dropsies, and we turn the ball over after 3 downs a lot.....and then our defense gets gassed by the 4 th quarter.... It works more for Rogers because his O-line gives him a few extra seconds, his receivers actually catch the tough balls, and he has one of the fastest releases in the game. We can emulate that sometimes, like when the chips are down, but not with any consistency. Russ was slow in his decision-making last game & part of this one. But in the end, he became decisive, and got rid of the ball quickly. If he would do that earlier, we would all have much less heartburn

LOTS of sports writers are calling it the best game in a LONG time. Most entertaining to watch game.
Wilson is really really good. And they need to stop asking Jimmy to even attempt to block, and just keep getting open.
