He needs to win a few more Super Bowls to earn that title. I mean in 1979 Joe Montana was drafted in the third round and he has four rings, three Super Bowl MVPs, and two NFL MVPs.

BIG difference when you can openly spend as much money as you want on players with no cap like you could back then, compared to today where everyone is tied to the same budget.

Comparing 70' and 80's NFL to today's NFL is like comparing apples to beans. Guys today are bigger, stronger, faster and never really take time off even in the offseason like the guys back then did. Training camp back then was to get the guys in shape from an offseason of beer & boobies. Montana never faced 6'3" corners that are track speed fast, or 275lb LB's and DL's that can run a fast 40 time either.
