This shit been brewing since the 50's. China is right in the middle of this, as well as the South China Seas Bullshit. It's all puppetry. Diplomacy has not worked, except to redraw the line in the sand. Again, and again.

I'd tell China...... if ONE hair on any American was harmed, kiss ALL their bonds, properties, Funds....... Goodbye.

We will live without the daily influx of 50,000 I-phones. Fuck this shit.

9/11/01 cost 3000 Americans (and others) in a few hours, destroyed a small part of NYC, and send the markets into a collapse and trading (and air travel) stopped for days. Launched us into a 16+ year war, with some 10,000 US Casualties and perhaps a million casualties globally. That was fighting illiterate goat herders in mostly rural locations.

Even a limited nuclear exchange over a few cities will make 9/11/01 a comparatively trivial event.

This gets the big dogs to the table. China has nukes. NK has some nukes. Russia has nukes. Some nukes can turn cities into memories. No rebuilding. Just gone, along with millions of people quicker than you can drink a soda.

Massive short term and long term consequences to relationships, trading, oil prices, stock markets, wealth, poverty, human suffering, death, destruction, animals, the environment, the oceans, the air quality, radiation contamination, ground wars, spread of violence throughout the world, etc.

These are very scary times. If you are religious I hope you are praying for a wise and peaceful resolution. This could turn very bad.

If we wait it will be worse. Even if NK never uses nukes themselves, they aren't the sharpest tools in the shed and the government could lose control over them or have a general go rogue.

Also, they could get desperate for $ with even more sanctions continually going into effect. Eventually when the sanctions finally start diminishing the DL's personal Twinkie supply, I could easily see them selling off some warheads to a terrorist faction. With Iran it's even worse, they are allied with terrorists like Hezbollah who would act as delivery proxies for attempted plausible deniability for the supplier nation.

If we hit them now there's a chance to forestall nuclear war. If we wait, it is inevitable.

Man it's a terrible choice. What if our "hitting them" leads to them "hitting us/allies/SK/Japan/Guam?" Or China retaliating by hitting back?

Are we then ready to hit China?

It's question of saving the most lives. The longer we wait the more nukes they acquire. Iran will eventually get them too.

What are we supposed to do? Wait until they have enough to destroy the US?

As it is now, China is infinitely more rational than NK could ever be.

While we still have a chance of defeating NK with minimal damage to ourselves is the time to strike. The longer we wait and the stronger NK gets and the more missiles it has, the higher the chance that when war DOES eventually break out China might think that if they join in then they can finish us with NK's help.

Every day we wait makes that scenario more like with China.

In other news, the empty-headed hag running the EU has implied that Germany will not support us if war breaks out. Hope she remembers that should she ever call on us to assist with Russia...

I think the big question here is whether china would back a rogue NK nuke strike? I would (hopefully?) guess not... too much at stake on the world platform to back a power drunk idiot. Kim Jong Little Dick needs to be shut down soon... and hard... hopefully with the support and backing of the rest of the world. Its Saddam all over again, only they have out grown the sand box... only difference is no oil is involved.

My $.02.

I think you can pretty much assume that there is going to be some "real" serious collateral damage right after the first round is fired. It would be an absolute miracle if that were not the case. You are right about China. If you really want to lose sleep, what happens if China jumps in and Russia sees an opportunity to settle up with Europe while we are busy? I do not believe we can do two fronts without going nuclear if it came to major force on force engagements anymore.

China says it will remain neutral if NK attacks, but, will they really?

If the U.S. waits to get attacked, just as happened @ Pearl Harbor, do you honestly think China would stay out of it, or do they want NK to land the first strike to weaken our defenses?

I'm betting COMPACFLT is getting a run for his money...I do not envy ADM Swift...

So let's say The Fat Squid attacks Guam first.

We level NK

China and the Democrats will still paint the USA as a pariah nation. I say, fuck the Democrats.

No matter how (or if) it starts or how it ends, the narrative is already set.

The official Democrat party is now saying that Kim Jong Un is acting more "responsibly" than Trump.
