Huh. I didn't think it was "ugly". I don't know motorcycle helmets well, but it looks fine to me.
Motorcycle helmets can be ugly? I remember wearing them back when I had one of those suicide machines (I kid, I kid) and the only thought that I remember was "Is it comfortable?"
If it was a bright color like orange or pink, or somehow stood out too much I'd feel funny wearing it. I don't think I'd look twice at someone wearing one of these as they passed me on the left.

The only thing I think of when I see that helmet.....some old grey haired guy with a long beard and handlebar mustache sitting atop some oil leaking old Indian, Triumph, Norton or Harley.
If someone wears that today, they're having a hard time stuffing their man bun into it while straddling a moped in tight jeans.
