Hummmm, wonder how late and overbudget a $50+ Billion transit project is going to be. http://www.kiro7.com/news/local/sound-t ... /597658553Quote: The agency said the $2.4 billion estimate has changed to $2.9 billion If we do the math.....are we looking at $10 Billion?

Get over it, accept progress, it's for the future and shut up and pay the taxes is ringing in my head. It could roll into 100 billion and the 3 controlling counties in this state wouldn't blink.

Cheaper than owning a car and driving, cheaper than an Uber/taxi. At about $8, the people that use the bus, pay for the bus. This goes to my conservatives views, of personal responsibility. You get what you pay for. You pay for what you get. You don't take from others by force for yourself.

While I kid an joke about it, having that opinion in Seattle will get you beat by people shouting that you are a racist bigot. I remember a year or so back when higher fares were brought up during some transit meeting, and that person was shouted down with those exact words. But I agree, same for the ferries and bike lanes, you use it, you pay for it.

If you even mention that bikes should have a license plate so red light cameras can capture them, or you can get their plate when they sideswipe your car, or they should pay fire bike lanes, they'll crucify you. They are fanatical.

Over budget means higher taxes to pay for it. Higher taxes means a need for higher wages. Quickest way for higher wages is to raise the minimum wage. Kids entering the job market when ST2&3 is over will probably be making a hundred bucks an hour.
There's your answer...over budget--endorse it for the kids.

This is exactly what's going to happen to ST3.
Except that by the time they run out of money the work in King county will be done, leaving Pierce and Snohomish to fend for themselves.
They might even put it to a vote but it will go over like a fart in church with the voters in King county.
