Another article said the other gal was her partner. Many stores (especially union ones) have a policy of not letting employees apprehend shoplifters. She stole about $250-300 worth of liquor.
If she stabbed an employee trying to grab her fat waddling ass, the store would be looking at 1,000+ times that in a lawsuit.
The Mukilteo QFC moved all of the liquor to the front of the store this week where the cashiers can see it. Just too many liquor thefts keeping it in the back of the store. The state is cracking down on the stores to improve security, because for every bottle stolen the state loses money in lost tax revenue.
