Hey Ron, did you give that multi-tool belt buckle gizmo to your Dad yet?
And did your boy show you how to flick that one knife open?
I didn't get a pic of that one because I did gift it to my pops. Pops was really fascinated with the cool gizmo factor of the belt buckle/multi tool contraption and liked it alot! He felt it was a bit too heavy for a buckle and opted to attach it to his pack. Personally I thought it would've been fine as a buckle. A+ for SOG innovation on that one.
The kid chose the Aegis for his new blade.

Sorry for the not great photos. Still playing with new image hosting sites, bear with me here guys. I went for camping/survival knives and gear this time.
Top down on big knives:
Sogfari 18" machete
Back country axe with saw tool in handle
Kukri (sharp as fuck ask me how I know)
SOG Fusion fixation bowie
On the right:
Spec Elite I
SOG Flint (glass breaker, emergency whistle, tinder storage, fire starter rod)
Total spent: $160
I told my wife and showed her how much we got. She said "well that's not bad"

Mike was the most gracious host anyone could ask for and because most of the people present were people that already knew each other from Waguns, there wasn't any awkward "gathering of strangers" feeling to this event. There were light refreshments and an abundance of pleasant conversation. I was disappointed that I had to leave before the fight due to my work schedule.
Mike and I almost became blood brothers but I chickened out after he drew first blood with his new kukri blade. Nothing a Snoopy band-aid couldn't handle.
I'm glad Mikes wife wasn't too disappointed with him on the purchases that he "told and showed her". I'm wondering when he'll post pictures of the rest.
