What's the back story here? Was the carjacker stuck somehow, or just holding on because he wasn't ready to let the prize go?

According to KIRO this guy tried carjacking several cars and was seen punching them when he failed.

Also you can see he managed to get this door open, and the driver couldn't close it with him hanging on. That's a strong handle!

The car stopped several times to give the perp the ability to let go and go away, instead he hung on, and he kept hanging on despite being dragged. That is very alarming and I think would probably warrant deadly force to stop him.

So sad . . . I hope he wasn't hurt.

That Subaru is within a couple years old, it has the automatic locks when it goes into drive or over 15mph. So thats kinda odd

I've had 8 Subarus to include my current 2017, and not one of them ever had auto locks. That is one of the many things I like about Subaru. I hate auto locks. Locked doors almost killed my mother by making it more difficult for 1st responders to get her out of the wreck.

I have a recent forester and it has auto locks when driving.

My Silverado is 15 years old and it has auto locks.
I figured all cars would have them by now.

That's the best footage I have seen in a while. His ass was rubbed RAWwww and when he rolled over I winced imagining how his pencil must now be a stub!!!!

.357 x2 through the door would have resolved that situation... just saying.
