Pretty horrifying. The police saw the "anarchists" (in reality they were Antifa but the Associated Depressed doesn't want to call them that) coming and decided, what the hell, let em in and don't check them for weapons and let them assault people. Eventually some assaults were broken up by the cops, but at least one conservative protestor had to flee and scramble to get behind a distant riot-police line after being beaten and pepper sprayed. Tolerating violence is now the policy of liberal municipalities. There's a big difference between intimidation and actually beating/pepper spraying someone...
