I heard lots of stories from my father and my uncles about how they were treated when they came home from Nam. 3 of them tried getting higher education and colleges were openly hostile to them in classrooms and with administrativery treatment. It's not manufactured or unprecedented.
One had a professor spit in his face and call him a baby killer. She tried kicking him from her class and he was forced to change his schedule and struggled to make up that required credit.
Sigh... I'm not saying that the people who wrote that are not little shits. What I am saying is that this is a NON-Story. Somebody wrote something, the college said they opposed it, done, end. #manufacturedoutrage is then created when somebody tries to blame the college for doing / or not doing something and insinuating that because of their action/in-action that they are culpable and in fact agree with the little shits. #spinmaster would be a better tagline. By giving the article clicks/hits/hot linking, you are validating the little shits and their little shit ideas.
I can see we do not agree with this, and that's fine. But I think it's wrong to 1) even air this non-story and 2)Try and spin outrage against the school for doing or not doing something.
