This is not going to be used to blaze a trail through the mountains for 6 months, but a thin shell to keep the family from being uncomfortable. Would prefer something that folds into the pocket and zips up for easy storage in the trunk of the car.
Y'all have any ideas? Not looking for something so thin that two evenings outside cause some random rip yet don't want to buy 4 jackets at REI that are quality but $$$$$

Check Costco, I had to literally hold myself back from buying a few of their Kirkland Brand coats for 20$, they were super nice.
