It's going to be hard as hell to sell. Thing is the chopper fad has died, and very few people want a huge fork like that. It might sell for under 10k, and that's a big might. Your lucky it is black, if it was a bright custom color a smaller group of people would take interest in it.

I'm going to type out 3 paragraphs and wax eloquently about a similar story in my life. Pm me if you figured it out.

Try listing it on http://www.mautofied.com/ I have sold a couple custom trucks on there and my buddy has sold 2 bikes. All of them sold to out of state buyers where the stretch of 6 months of no sunshine and tons of rain doesn't exist.

Does your friend need all cash or will she take guns in trade?

Good luck, this was an expensive bike new.Sounds like it has quality components.I realize you didn't mention a price, just letting you know it's a tuff market for the long front end chops. When you come up with an idea what you want for it list it here.

If it's possible to change up her finances and hold on to the bike for a few more months, I would suggest taking it to Bike Week in Daytona come spring and Sturgis which is a year away unfortunately. Actually, Biketoberfest in Daytona is less than two months aways. If I had the means to do so and was in her situation, I'd be down there on Main St, or the Iron Horse, or anywhere the action is happening, parked, with a For Sale sign.

I have a motorcycle addiction that is worse than my gun addiction. I check in on what bikes sell for from time to time and I've sold a half dozen bikes in the last couple of years on craigslist. I have had no personal affiliation with them but I've noticed Moon Motorcycles in Issaquah on craigslist. They seem to have reasonable prices and they seem to sell an eclectic bunch of bikes. If I wanted to consign your bike I'd run it by them first.
