I actually have no problem with them thinking it's racist....if they do, based on their life and environment, fine.
What's crazy is, they stopped the meeting.

Letting whomever may have done this know that you've given them this much power is a mistake.
Throwing it away and ignoring it puts the flame out. Cancelling the meeting, and calling attention to it, only emboldens the idiots that did it, if anyone did.
Oddly enough, like firefighters that start fires for the attention, sometimes these things are self-inflicted.
We'll see how it plays out, but ignoring it at the time, and reporting it only to officials later, would have been the better play with regard to wanting to hold future meetings. Have a meeting in another month with a police stake out.
