I remember the olden days with the bad lip-syncing before subtitles.

I'm a fan of the IP Man movies. Also liked Hero, I know it isn't an old one, but still a good watch.
On a side note this Indian film's battle scene is pretty sweet:
That's good list. The wife and I watch kung fu movies on Amazon Prime almost every night.
One of our favorites was on the list, Prodigal Son. A good synopsis was on the list. The guy who was described as creepy was a Chinese opera actor, obviously gay, who taught the main star proper kung fu. The Chinese opera star had some of the best kung fu moves that we've seen in those old movies, and was really the character who stole the movie and met a tragic and heroic end.
Some of our favorite actors are Andrew Fu Sheng (who died way too young), Gordon Liu, Tan Tao Liang (one of the great high-kickers), and Lo Lieh (a great villain).
We can't stand Jimmy Wang Yu, who we nicknamed "small mouth guy". He is the guy who plays the one-armed swordsman. His kung fu is really lacking in skill, and his moves are mostly laughable. Despite this, he seems to have done quite well in the kung fu film area.
