Would you visit Europe today? Given all the violence, terrorism, acid attacks etc? Given the lack of freedom? Would these things bother you? Where would you go?
I think visiting Beer Europe would be the best.

I've done my traveling to other countries. Mostly in the South Pacific via the US Navy. Once I got back to the USA, I pretty much had no desire to go anywhere else. :)

The best parts of Europe are outside the major cities, which is where these attacks happen. I'd go back in a heartbeat, but France would not be on the itinerary.

Scotland, Wales, Ireland no problem, England briefly. Not much interest in the rest unless it was a Griswald free trip.

Same here. I lived in Europe courtesy of Uncle Sam for 2 years. Was fun but I have no desire to go back. There are parts of the US I haven't explored yet and since I just bought a new travel trailer I am getting started on a plan to remedy that.
First trip will take me maybe a month, 5,000 miles, and who knows how many rounds of ammo. One of my stops will be the Whittington Center (NRA ranges) in Raton, NM and I plan on staying there in their RV campground until I run out of ammo for each rifle I take with me. Might even take the equipment to load some more. With a 1,000 yard range and a steel target out another couple hundred more yards I think I'll be enjoying myself a lot more than if I went to Europe.
That said, if I ever did relent and go to Europe it would be to Amsterdam. Couldn't get enough of that city when I was there.

Did so about a decade ago. Ten days, about 5 different mid priced hotels.
Nearly every hotel has a pub next to it.
Would check in about 3 or 4 pm, go to the bar and start talking.
"Hey! You are an American! Are you from New York? (Every time but 1, apparently mostly Easterners visit) 'No, Seattle' (maybe half knew Seattle was on the West Coast, 'north of Los Angeles'."
"Can I buy you a beer?"
"Sure, thanks".
Every single time this happened.. It was fantastic.

The EU is fine to visit. Great food.
However, we have long supplanted them in the art of beer crafting. Our beer is simply better.
