USFS in the firefighting business

Seems like poorly managed land and firefighting makes for good business as the USFS budget balloons. Another government agency getting bigger. I wish they were more serious about putting out fires when they start. Government grows and grows. No need for being efficient when you are spending someone else money.

Most forest fires are the result of poor forest management.
Need to get those prisoners out of the gym and out to DNR camps building fire breaks.

Who knows, maybe they can learn a career doing chainsaw owl and bear sculptures.

Fires are good if they go through every other year, burn the underbrush, and leave the big trees alone. The problem is when they only burn through every 20 years, and burn the entire forest down.
