Maybe they hire blind cops now too.
The 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in New York has upheld the common practice of not hiring police applicants with a high IQ.
The average police officer IQ is 104, same as the guy at Home Depot who saws 2X4's to length and is missing a couple fingers.

This is true, I had a couple of friends turned down for this very reason....they were told that it's because people with a higher IQ tend to leave law enforcement after so many years, and they don't want to waste the training, and then lose the experience.

Journalists cameras ARE weapons as far as the police are concerned. Even Policy Body Camera's are weapons. That's why they disable them/turn them off.
