His feels are too hurt to look at it objectively IMO

I don't think you're offended at all.... but if all's fair then with LOGs comment it has to also be equal. He doesnt think a part of a song that hasn't been sung for years is relevant in todays time...I'm in agreement. Its probably been cut or excluded from the song that's sung for that very reason. But I think it should stay as written as a piece of 'complete history' and not re written or completely erased as to not offend a feeling that stems from a 200plus year old song.

WTH are these people afraid of and whats the next step...actual book burning?

Sounds like Planet of The Apes shit or Fahrenheit 451..

Also I would hope you're right about Him or Her and they didnt look at their actions objectively....

Id have one question for the perpetrator though.....

Would he/she have any objection to a similar graffiti on the Freemont statue?

I'll lay out my position so we're all clear on where I stand.
the flag and the anthem are important to me. But I swore an oath to defend the constitution, not the flag, and not the anthem.
I fully support the right of those sitting during the anthem to do so. I also fully support the right of the people who are offended to speak out against the sitters. Free speech has consequences. Do I care about whatever cause the sitters are espousing? No I don't. will I sit in solidarity with them? no I won't. Nor will I get on the bandwagon of those offended by the sitters.
as to the anthem, just because some have never heard the full song sung, it does not follow that it is never sung. It is a part of the song, though most would like to ignore that part. Therefore, I do not think the point is relevant.
It's not clear that the song really is racist either. There are many things that he could have been referring to.
one thing that is clear: Vandalism and destruction of property is illegal and should be punished.

Im afraid that this isnt the end...but the beginning of a movement to erase it all....Im a glass half empty kinda guy though.

I'm with you though...I could give two shits what a Cappernick or others choose to do...It's his America as well. Its good that he shows his colors though...Good for him ...at least I know where he stands.

As for this graffiti artist/ protester.....? Its his America as well....hope not all of his friends think what he did was cool...and if he wanted to truly protest ,,,,,why hide. Come forward and Claim Your Work like a true fighter for your cause.

I dont think he's proud of it.
