So, long story short, I have an autistic nephew with a hearing problem.

Something happened in Puyallup, and he was nearby. He was approached by Police, and had no clue what they were talking about.

He was trying to be helpful, but didnt have his hearing aids with him, so didn't really know what they were asking him.

They've since stopped by my brother-in-law's once again with more questions.

I think the prudent thing would be for him to have representation for any further questioning.

Anybody know a good criminal attorney down that way?

Not a lawyer, this is just my opinion.
Nobody should be talking to the police about this and they are not required to.
Police are trying to gather inculpatory evidence that will later be used to prove his guilt in a crime they suspect him of committing.
If he hasn't been charged or arrested, you don't need a lawyer.
Unless you want to file a harassment case against the police department, or have been making statements to the police.

Actually, GT turned it into an advice thread, but as originally stated, I'm just looking for a good criminal attorney down that way for my nephew, if anyone knows of one.

This just happened yesterday, so, since I don't know who all may read this, I don't want o divulge much more, though I appreciate your willingness to listen.

You can tell him not to talk to the police, but being autistic and wanting to be helpful, he may not listen.
