In what seems to be a crazy use of logic, the Washington Supreme Court has upheld a conviction of a teen for sending dick pics to a 22 year old using a law that is ironically meant to protect minors.

I thought the age of consent in WA is 16, so if he is allowed to have relations with a woman of 22, why can't he send pictures?

Age of consent is 16, but that is for engaging in sex. I don't think sexting falls under that law.

While generally good advice, the punishment does not fit the spirit of the law or the actions of a teen.
