Unfortunately, the Z71's are not that common, and I really don't want to pony up the extra $$$ for the LTZ or Premiere badge.

I bought my Truck from Good Chev. I actually made the deal over the phone, $8500 below sticker. When I showed up to pick it up they did the deal! Bought my kids car from them too. They honor their commitments. Larson on the other hand... I have a friend who bought a Chrysler van from their Puyallup store. He had transmission problems under warranty and brought it back. It took them 3 weeks to get it back to him. He got home and looked underneath it and the boots were missing from the 1/2 shafts so he brought it back the next day. The mechanic had the nerve to say that Mark cut the boots off... I would walk before buying a rig from them!

When I was a courier for Fed Up I used to deliver to those dealerships on that strip in Renton. I could honestly say I wouldn’t buy a car from any of them. The only dealer I would do business with on that strip was Sound Ford, but I hammered them hard, I heard they fired the salesman after I bought my Focus. The ford dealership in sumner is pretty good, I’ve heard good things about the Chevy dealer out in Enumclaw. Stay clear from Auburn seems like that’s where all the slime bastards go to retire.

I'm dying for a base trim ram 2500 with 6.4 gas engine. This thread is not helping my finances.

I appreciate all the referrals to all the other dealerships, but as I mentioned, my vehicle search is very specific (at this time). It seems like those only 2 vehicles available within 150 miles just happen to be at shady dealers. That's okay though, more fun for me to play, and more fulfilling if I have to walk.

Good in all cash and don't budge. Be ready to walk from 2 or 3 dealers before anyone will yield. Sometimes word gets around between the dealers. Eventually the next place knew we were coming and they were hungry.
Dealers we've had good luck with: -Toyota dealer in Tacoma along I-5, forget the name. The salesman we used both times was an older guy and had been their decades. Think his name was Gene and he was famous for volume of car sales. Showed us the invoice and we used Costco price anr Car Gurus sales data to actually get a lot below invoice on a high demand car. -Puyallup Suburu. Was a bit of work but went in all cash and didn't budge. Had walked from Renton and Auburn and Bellevue prior to this. Eventually they caved in and have it to us for only $200 more than our cash offer (which was very low) and threw in a year of free service.
Remember, car dealers have their finances and inventory fluctuate. At certain times they MUST move stuff to stay liquid and make other financial demands. Get them at the right time and you can squeeze them for a deal. Never wait until you absolutely must have a vehicle before you buy and never get hooked on one single car unless you're rich.

I wish I knew someone to refer you to, but most American car dealerships do not retain sales people for long. I learned my lesson on that one never again, each time I asked for my keys back they would say the keys are in back I`ll go get them and an other salesman would come out and sit down and ask how he could help me get the car I needed. this was at a big sales event and the place was full. When the 3rd saleman pulled this on me I was pissed and when I get pissed my voice goes really deep and I stood up fast and my legs caught the folding table and almost flipped it as I yelled at the salesman I wanted my fucking keys back. My yelling at him echoed threw the place and everyone stopped and looked this time he grabbed my keys out of his pocket and tossed them on the table. The look on his face was priceless. I laughed about it all the way home.

Yup, got it at Good. Honestly the process was fairly painless. They offered me WAY more for my trade than I was expecting, so the negotiations went very, very easy as they were already asking a pretty killer price for the rig. The hardest part was waiting for my turn to sign paperwork because they were super busy.
Here's the crazy part.. My trade, that they offered too much for... They didn't even look at it really... Salesman got inside, looked at odometer, took pics and closed the door. Didn't start it, didn't look under the hood.. nothing. My keys stayed IN MY POCKET the entire time. Only when I was getting in my new rig did I ASK HIM, if he wanted my keys lol.
ProTip: If you see a 2007 Tahoe at Good Chevy, fix the radiator leak and get the tranny serviced before purchasing.....
