County overreach....again.

http://kuow.org/post/king-county-counci ... fety-bills

Quote:
"We have a public health crisis on our hands, and so we need a multifaceted approach to it," said King County Council Chair Joe McDermott, who proposed five gun safety bills for unincorporated King County.

1)Requirements that firearms be locked up when not in use

2)Requirement that gun dealers post warning signs about the health risks.

I wonder what the other three requirements are?

This is the sign that will be posted on the door and cash register;

Quote:
"Warning: The presence of a firearm in the home significantly increases the risk of suicide, homicide, death during domestic violence disputes, and unintentional deaths to children, household members and others."

Proposed,
A sign on all King county building.
"Warning entering this building will expose you to dumb ideas, feel good proposals, useless regulations, endless committees and studies that end up doing nothing but wasting yet more money, and career officials whos only job is to waste taxpayer money and figure out more ways to raise taxes and pad there nest eggs."

I'm pretty sure Joe is a "fluffer" for Ghey Jay.

Epidemic, hunh? I'm guessing drug OD's are more of an epidemic. Only 64,000 overdose deaths in 2016 and I'm sure that number is still sky-rocketing... but let's concentrate on guns!

WTF does that mean? I have to have it in my hand with my finger on the trigger while buying a 24oz malt liquor?

The county just piling on. Whatever they think they can get away with they will try. Contact your county commissioner and let them know this is bullshit.

They cause lead poisoning. That's why I'm getting copper, and steel bullets.

If you stop and think about that logically (I know, no one in Seattle thinks 'logically'), if a gun is not firing, its not in 'use'..... so locked up all the time? Carrying --- not 'in use'?

Well, seeing how I never go into Seattle I guess it was easy to miss this info.
Guess I'll have to continue to get my buzz and sleep it off in Renton... on Madpick's front porch. :thumbsup2:
