I understand brother, we spent a little more than $8k on our dog's allergies when she was a puppy. But she was a puppy. It hurts to lose a member of the family but 11 years is a good life. Treatment for the cancer is going to be hard on your cat at this point. It may be the more humane thing for your cat to meet a peaceful end now, rather than endure the cancer treatment and struggle for the remaining years.

Scotty and I are buds. He's in a tough spot, but coddling our friends doesn't make them stronger. We look out for each other, whether it's in a comforting way or in a way that is harsh but honest. I'm not always the nicest friend, but I'm a friend. I wish him the best and hope that he can objectively wiegh the emotional vs. financial realities of this situation.
