So last year I decided to make a change, i decided to go on a diet.
Most of you know who have met me know how big i was, 6'5 and over 520lbs
Today i sit at 395lbs since starting my diet in the fall of last year. I havent hit my goal of 285 yet but only 100lbs left
I started going to the gym at minimum once a week.
Right now im kind of at a turning point, the weight isnt coming off as fast but still trickling down.
I really want to start bike riding but i have no money to invest in a really good bike so i would love peoples opinions and something that can survive me at my current weight.

Check Craiglist in December, look at a Specilaized or Cannondale you could easily score a good one for a few hundred bucks.

Great job with losing like 125 lbs. That's wonderful. Weight loss requires both diet and exercise. You have to control the empty calories and sugar and such. More healthy foods, veggies, etc. As for the gym, once a week will not get you to your goals. You should be minimum 4 and ideally about 6 days weekly. Finances: I fully understand the issue with finances. But most gyms cost the same if you go never, once, or 7 days weekly, or twice every day... so maximize your gym time. Do cardio, strength, any free classes they offer. Cut out any fast food or junk food and your grocery $$$ will go further. That empty calorie garbage is a waste of money and ruins your diet. Don't buy it or keep it in the house at all. Low impact like biking is great. Most gyms have bikes and there's no extra cost or storage costs. Plan a 2 hour ride daily, and bring a book or movie player and just ride. As for road bikes, I don't know about the weight on a bike. But for costs, you can get a good used road bike for under $100 used (Craigslist, garage sale, etc.). Yoga. Get a yoga mat for $20. Youtube or free or low cost yoga DVDs. If you want to be inspired, watch this video. You CAN DO IT. Disabled (on crutches) obese veteran told he'd never walk without crutches again. Watch the transformation with Yoga and you will have tears in your eyes. https://youtu.be/qX9FSZJu448

Gotta say, if you've dropped 125lbs in a year, that's a hell of an accomplishment! Nicely done!

Nicely done! And you don't want to lose too much weight too fast, at least that's what I've been told. Keep up the great work!

Check out Recycled Cycles in Seattle. Their salespeople are knowledgeable and they have full bikes and parts available to fit just about every need/size/skill level. You can usually find something of good quality that's still affordable. Congratulations and good luck!

The best part - it starts to look like your dick is growing larger as you drop more and more weight.
At least, that is what you can tell the ladies. Just before offering them a free sample.

125 lbs?
That is impressive. And not easy. And you didn't spend a couple of grand to attend one of those weight loss programs. You did it yourself, with your own mind, your own plan, and your own dedication.
Even more impressive!
All the best to reaching your final goal.
