Facebook user Anika Walker created a group titled "Throw Rocks at the Smoke to Make it Go Away" which is pitching an idea to, well, make the smoke go away by throwing rocks at it.

The page contains several photos and even videos of people throughout the Northwest throwing rocks at the thick layer of smoke on the horizon.

Some members of the group use plain old rocks, others paint their rocks, one even wrote the word “smoke” with a red circle and slash through it.

Obviously, the group needs more members, because it hasn't worked yet, but she's not alone in trying to use social media to clean up the air.

There's the GoFundMe campaign to hire enough lawyers to sue the smoke and deport it back to Canada -- even though Tuesday and Wednesday's smoke was from fires burning in Eastern Washington.

Then there's the Spokane man trying to gather millions of box fans so he can blow the smoke back to Canada.

Perhaps that effort was inspired by the thousands in Florida who signed up to shoot at Hurricane Irma.

It's a joke just like the "shoot at the hurricane" joke that went up a year or two back.

C'mon.

Laugh.
