A Great Pyrenees, because of course a Great Pyrenees. Smart, protective (although only of people/animals, not property), beautiful, gentle and very low energy when not actually working. Meaning you don't have a dog that needs a walk or command every 45 seconds.
A Newfoundland would be my second choice, although like the St. Bernard, they are much more people oriented and in need of attention than a Pyr.
Something we agree on. Too bad every once in a while a Pyrenees comes around that barks 24-7 and nothing can be done about it. Despite that, one will likely be my next dog if I can find a good rescue. I can't do the puppy thing unless there is a risk with gettting one that is a few years old and how they will act with my two young kids.

Which end is the head, and which end is the asshole on that dog ? Can't tell in that picture.
At least with Steve, you can tell the difference. Cake goes in, and then comes out.
Easy to tell which end is which.
Except on the US Rifle date night where anything goes.
Steve, get anything except for one of them kicking dogs.
You know, the little happy ones that aren't good for much else.
One of them big Caucasians with a saddle would be cool for riding to work on though..................

But keeping your home free of animals isn’t all bad. The survey showed that more non-owners owned their homes and paid off their mortgages (69%) compared to pet owners (60%). An even better potential boast for these folks: 46% of the non-owners retired early, versus 35% of the owners.

I'm thinking Labradoodle. Steve will outfit the Dog with a Spiked collar and a Tactical Holster to Man it up....and i will still drive over and Laugh at him when he is told to Walk it.
They fit the bill. No shedding, don't bark much and will make a nice Blanket between him and the GF at night.
Plus he will be Soooo Manly strutting down the Street with one.
